When filmmakers decide to make a big Western movie, critics and journalists often say things like “The Western is back!” or “The Western never went away!” With Kevin Costner’s new four-part epic, “Horizon: If one asks them, “What has been the source of inspiration for the movie title ‘An American Saga,” they will probably say the same things.

Horizon: “An American Saga” is a four-part epic in the form of a film that tries to depict the struggles of white settlers driving to the West and taking the land away from Native Americans. In the first part of the scene, the reader is introduced to several protagonists in various settings at Number 1. Frances Kittredge is a young woman who is trying to be a strict matriarch of the newly established town of Horizon at the start of the 20th century in Arizona in the San Pedro Valley. A scene shows the attempts of the wife to rekindle the fun of dancing and persuade her teenage son, Nate, to dance with her during a community event. Their home is later invaded by natives, and out of the members of the McCoy family, only Frances and her daughter Lizzie remain alive. And of course, there also comes the U. S. Cavalry in the form of a camp fortune teller, pilot, and a young lieutenant, and Trent Gephardt, who looks like he has more than just a professional interest in Miss Frances.

Hayes Ellison, acted by Kevin Costner, is a calm and mighty man character who comes into the picture after a disastrous Native American and white men confrontation an hour into the film. Hayes is cautious and he looks like a man who has had a rough experience in life, but his story is not out yet. As opposed to his characters’ constant fleeing in other pictures, his arrival in the film introduces a character who bears a sense of tangible security to handle the situations.

One of the characters depicted in this movie is Ellen, played by Jena Malone; Montana Territory; Ellen shoots at a man and flees with a baby. The other characters Greedy for, the Baby are the rough Mrs. Sykes, the two sons of Mrs. Sykes, Father Christmas, and the snowmen. Marigold, an attractive lady who bases her source of income on the social hygiene business by looking after Ellen’s baby during the day, caters to men at night. Mother Teresa appears interested as Hayes comes in.

The narrative of the story is very complex and involves the struggle of the settlers in Arizona and interaction with Native Americans in Montana. The movie will be a mix of Western with elements of a drama, shedding light on the plight of Native Americans and showing the audience life on the frontier was not as simple as black and white. Through these characters and their experiences, “Horizon: Although it is very difficult to state what kind of work “An American Saga” is because it can be both a novel and a collection of short stories, one can see how it portrays the troubles and the ethical dilemmas of the American West.
